During the treatment
We start by removing your makeup. We numb your skin with cream so that you feel next to nothing during the treatment. The treatment takes about an hour. During the treatment, tiny holes are made in your skin surface with a laser head by means of evaporation. We adjust the device's setting to your skin type and problem area and will give certain areas extra attention during the treatment. Our lasers have a built-in cooling system to make the treatment as pleasant as possible. After the laser treatment, we will treat your skin with a cooling balm and an infrared mask to calm your skin.
After the treatment
Your skin will look red, a little swollen and feel warm. This will dissipate after a couple of days. It is essential that you don’t use makeup or retinol and that you hydrate your ‘new’ skin several times a day with a special cream. You must use a high SPF (30) and stay completely out of the sun for the first two weeks. The downtime of laser and light techniques strongly depends on the wavelength and depth used on the skin and is much shorter for rosacea and age spots. Your skin will be red and flaky for 4 to 7 days after your treatment: when it starts to get itchy, it is essential that you do not scratch. Remember that you cannot have a tan and must stay out of the sun for four weeks before this procedure.
Treatment schedule for best results
The best results are obtained with 2-4 treatments per year, with an interval of 4 to 6 weeks between treatments. After that, one maintenance treatment every 6 months is advisable.
